The Foundation's environmental grantmaking supports three areas: 1) science-based ocean conservation; 2) recycling and re-use; and 3) the Anacostia River watershed. The Foundation makes grants to organizations that engage in legal and political conservation advocacy on behalf of the oceans and the Anacostia River. Recycling and re-use grantmaking focuses on end-of-product life and extended producer responsibility and accountability.
